Operation Instructions:

• To Lock the Door:
  • Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
  • Turn the key to lock the locking points and main deadbolt (if applicable).
• To Unlock the Door:
  • Turn the key to unlock the system.
  • Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.

Corrosion Resistance:

The Yale YS170 has been corrosion tested to BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 4, ensuring durability and longevity with a performance rating of 240 hours in a neutral salt spray test (NSST).

Measuring Guidelines:

• Backset Measurement:
  • Measure from the edge of the door to the center of the keyhole.
  • This distance is your backset measurement.
• Centres PZ Measurement:
  • Measure from the center of the keyhole to the center of the handle spindle.
  • This measurement should be 92mm for compatibility with the YS170.
• Faceplate Measurement:
  • Measure the width and height of the existing faceplate.
  • Ensure the new faceplate matches these dimensions for a proper fit.
