YS170 Passive Multipoint Door Lock

The Yale YS170 multipoint door lock is designed specifically for the passive door on a pair of French doors, featuring no locking points. This lock is part of a highly regarded range by Yale, known for its reliability and ease of use.

The YS170 is easily identifiable once removed from the door, as it is stamped with the distinctive Yale logo. It features a 92mm PZ (centres) configuration with both hook and latch bolt mechanisms. Notably, the hook is positioned below the latch, which helps differentiate it from the Yale G2000 model.

Specifications

• Gearbox Options: Available in 35mm or 45mm backsets with a split spindle mechanism, which can also function as a lift lever using a solid spindle.
• Dimensions: Gearboxes measure 217mm high plus backset +18mm. The latch and deadbolt both measure 28mm high, with a 53mm distance between the bottom of the latch and the top of the hook.
• Screw Hole Measurements: Gearboxes are fitted to faceplates with three screw holes; the top to middle screw hole measures 110mm, and the middle to bottom measures 52mm.

Operation: Lift Lever

To Lock the Door:

1. Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
2. Secure the locking points and main deadbolt (if present) by turning the key.

To Unlock the Door:

1. Unlock the system by turning the key.
2. Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.

Corrosion Resistance: Tested to BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 4 (240hrs. NSST).
