To ensure you have all the necessary information about the ERA Vectis deadbolt gearbox, here are some details on how to measure the backset and centres, as well as an explanation of the operation:

How to Measure the Backset:

  1. Identify the Door Edge: Place your measuring tape against the edge of the door where the lock will be installed.

  2. Measure from the Edge to the Centre of the Cylinder: The backset is the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the lock cylinder. For example, if you measure 35mm from the edge to the centre, that is your backset measurement.

How to Measure the Centres (PZ):

  1. Locate the Cylinder Hole: Find the hole where the cylinder will be fitted.

  2. Measure from the Centre of the Cylinder Hole to the Centre of the Keyhole: The PZ measurement is the distance between these two points. In this case, it should be 95mm.

Operation:

The ERA Vectis deadbolt gearbox can be operated in two ways:

  • Lift Lever: This operation involves lifting the lever to engage the latch and deadbolt, providing a secure locking mechanism.

  • Split Spindle Nightlatch: This allows for independent operation of the outside and inside handles, which can be useful for added security and convenience.

By understanding these specifications and measurements, you can ensure a proper fit and optimal performance for your locking solution. If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out!
