Product Information
The GU Secury A2 lock is designed with enhanced security features, including an additional deadbolt case and a main gearbox positioned higher, aligning with the height of traditional timber door nightlatches.
The GU Secury A2 lock is increasingly favored in new composite and timber door installations within residential developments. Its design ensures that the door remains aligned, as it is held securely by bolts at both the top and bottom, eliminating the need for the user to pull up the door handle.
For optimal functionality, we recommend pairing this lock with a pull handle and a separate escutcheon, rather than using lever handles.
Latch Reversal Instructions
To reverse the latch, insert a flat-bladed screwdriver into the small rectangular slot located above the spindle. While doing this, pull out the latch simultaneously. Once reversed, reinsert the latch to complete the process.

Measuring Guidelines
To ensure accurate measurements for your GU Secury A2 lock installation, follow these guidelines:
Backset Measurement To measure the backset, take a tape measure and measure the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the lock hole. This distance is crucial for ensuring the lock fits properly within the door frame.
Centres PZ Measurement For the PZ measurement, measure the distance from the center of the keyhole to the center of the handle hole. This measurement is essential for aligning the lock with the door handle and ensuring smooth operation.
Faceplate Measurement To measure the faceplate, you will need to measure the width and height of the area where the lock will be installed. This ensures that the faceplate fits snugly against the door surface, providing both aesthetic appeal and security.
By following these measuring guidelines, you can ensure a proper fit for your GU Secury A2 lock, enhancing both security and functionality.
