Reversible Disabled Bathroom Lockset (Radar Type)

Introducing our alternative bathroom mortice lock and handle set, specifically designed for disabled toilet doors. This lock serves as a direct replacement for RADAR and NKS locks, featuring a non-handed design that allows for easy reversal of the latch.

Included in the kit are a latchbolt, a special NKS key, and a lever handle. Notably, NKS and RADAR keys are compatible, enabling interchangeable use.

The RADAR key, which stands for The Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation, is a distinctive blue, red, or silver-coloured key that grants access to over 10,000 disabled toilets across the UK. With the support of approximately 400 local authorities, RADAR keys ensure that disabled individuals can access locked, accessible toilets while safeguarding against vandalism and misuse.

Established by the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation, now known as Disability Rights UK, the National Key Scheme (NKS) introduced the first RADAR locks in 1981, aiming to maintain accessible toilets for disabled individuals in a clean and secure manner.
