The Nico Restricted Egress Friction Hinge seamlessly integrates the functionality of standard restrictors with the safety of egress-only hinges. This innovative design not only prevents accidental falls through windows in its initial restricted mode but also provides a swift escape route in emergencies, such as a fire, when in the egress position.

Each hinge is supplied in matched pairs, with the restricted egress hinge installed at the bottom of the sash and a matched unrestricted egress hinge at the top. The hinge features a single restrictor button that is cleverly designed to be less appealing to children, ensuring safety without compromising accessibility. Additionally, the hinge automatically resets after closure from the egress position, enhancing its user-friendly design.
