NKS Reversible Disabled Bathroom Lockset (Radar Type)

The TSS NKS Lockset is an innovative solution designed specifically for bathroom mortice locks and handle sets, catering to the needs of disabled toilet doors. This lockset serves as a direct replacement for both RADAR and NKS locks, offering the convenience of being non-handed, which allows for easy reversal of the latch.

To reverse the latch, simply remove the faceplate, rotate the latch to your desired position, and reattach the faceplate. This user-friendly feature ensures that installation is straightforward and adaptable to various door configurations.

Included in the set are a latchbolt operated by a specialized NKS (National Key Scheme) Key and a Lever Handle. Notably, NKS and RADAR keys are compatible, allowing for seamless interchangeability.

The RADAR key, which stands for The Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation, is a distinctive blue, red, or silver key that grants access to over 10,000 disabled toilets throughout the UK. This key is utilized by approximately 400 local authorities, ensuring that disabled individuals have access to locked, accessible toilets while safeguarding against vandalism and misuse.

The National Key Scheme (NKS), established by the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation—now known as Disability Rights UK—introduced the first RADAR locks in 1981. This initiative was aimed at maintaining accessible toilets that are clean and free for disabled individuals.
