Spartan multipoint door lock gearboxes are designed for durability and security, featuring a square design with elongated piercing for bolt-through fixings. The overall length of the gearbox is 220mm, making it a robust choice for various door types.

Installation Notes: When measuring the backset, allow for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. For instance, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure approximately 32mm when not fixed to the strip.

Operation:

• Locking Mechanism: Lift lever or split spindle
• Latch Reversal:
  • Undo screws in the latch to remove.
  • Reverse and reinsert, then replace screws.
• Nightlatch Split Spindle Reversal:
  • Remove latch to access a small screw.
  • Use a small bladed screwdriver to turn the screw 180 degrees, then return the latch to its correct position.

Locking Procedure:

1. Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
2. Lift the handle to engage additional locking points.
3. Throw the deadbolt and secure the system by turning the key (note: on some brands, lifting the handle will throw the deadbolt).

Unlocking Procedure:

1. Unlock the system by turning the key.
2. Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
3. A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
