Introducing the SEA gearboxes, the smallest gearboxes on the market, measuring just 185mm high with a backset of +15mm. Designed for efficiency and ease of use, these gearboxes feature a unique configuration that includes a latch and deadbolt, ensuring robust security for your doors.

• Compact Design:

  • Height: 185mm

• Innovative Fitment:

  • A groove above the spindle facilitates the installation of handles with a screw above the lever.

• Unique Attachment Method:

• Legacy Models:

  • Be aware of older SEA gearboxes that may have screws and a passivated yellow finish. These models are no longer available and feature a sticker indicating operation type (red = key wind, blue = lift lever).

Operation Instructions:

• To Lock the Door:

  1. Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
  2. Lift the handle to engage additional locking points.
  3. Throw the deadbolt and secure the system by turning the key (some brands may throw the deadbolt by lifting the handle).

• To Unlock the Door:

  1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
  2. Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
  3. A quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.

Reversal Instructions:

• Latch Reversal:

  • Push in the latch to reveal a screw at the back of the lockcase. Undo the screw, reverse the latch, reinsert, and replace the screw.

• Nightlatch Reversal:

  • Use a flat-bladed screwdriver to push the hollow black roll pin located next to the spindle hole to reverse the function.
