Fab & Fix multipoint door lock gearboxes are designed with a unique square shape and no corner cut-outs, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

• Compatibility:

  • This is the Mk2 version of the Fab & Fix gearbox. Note that earlier models with a black and orange design are not compatible.

• Latch and Deadbolt Specifications:

  • Latch Height: 24mm (featuring 2 distinctive screws)
  • Deadbolt Height: 30mm
  • Distance Between Latch and Deadbolt: 61mm

• Mounting:

  • The gearbox is secured to the faceplate with 4 screws, which is atypical for multipoint locks.
  • Screw Hole Measurements:
    • First to Second: 37mm
    • Second to Third: 85mm
    • Third to Fourth: 43mm

• Backset Measurement:

  • When measuring the backset, account for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. For instance, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not attached to the strip.

Operation Instructions:

• Locking the Door:

  1. Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
  2. Lift the handle to activate the additional locking points.
  3. Throw the deadbolt and secure the system by turning the key (some brands may throw the deadbolt by lifting the handle).

• Unlocking the Door:

  1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
  2. Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
  3. A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.

Latch Reversal:

• To reverse the latch, unscrew it, flip it, and reinsert before replacing the screws.

Nightlatch Split Spindle Reversal:

• Remove the latch to access a small screw. Use a small screwdriver to turn the screw 180 degrees, then return the latch to its correct position.
