Introducing the Permdor Gearbox, designed for durability and versatility in your locking solutions. This gearbox is available in two backset options—35mm and 45mm—making it adaptable to various door configurations. It features a latch and deadbolt mechanism, ensuring enhanced security for your premises.
Key Features
Backset Options: Choose between 35mm or 45mm backsets. The 45mm version utilizes a 35mm case with an extended latch and deadbolt, complemented by a 10mm packer piece.
Double Spindle Design: This gearbox includes a double spindle, making it ideal for lift lever or double spindle night latch functions. Note that it is unsprung, so we recommend pairing it with sprung door handles for optimal performance.
Dimensions: The gearbox measures 228mm in height, with a case width of backset + 16mm. The latch and deadbolt each measure 30mm high, with a 65mm gap between them.
Screw Hole Configuration: Gearboxes are fitted to faceplates with three screw holes. The distance from the top to the middle screw hole is 109mm, and the middle to the bottom also measures 109mm.
Latch Reversal: Easily reverse the latch by undoing the screw, removing it, flipping it, and reinserting it before securing the screw again.
Operation Instructions
To lock the door:
Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
Secure the locking points and main deadbolt (if applicable) by turning the key.
To unlock the door:
Turn the key to unlock the system.
Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.
