This Apeer gearbox is designed for versatility and security, available in both 35mm and 45mm backsets. It features a latch and deadbolt mechanism and is unsprung, making it essential to pair with suitable sprung handles for optimal performance. The 45mm version utilizes a 35mm case, enhanced with an extended latch and deadbolt, complemented by a 10mm packer piece.

The gearbox is equipped with a double spindle and is not suitable for use with unsprung handles. It supports double spindle locks with 62mm and 92mm centres, allowing for lift lever or double spindle night latch functions.

The gearboxes are designed to fit faceplates with three screw holes, with the top to middle screw hole measuring 109mm and the middle to bottom also at 109mm. Earlier models included a small spindle hole near the latch for holding the latch back.

Operation Instructions:

• To Lock the Door:

  1. Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
  2. Secure the locking points and main deadbolt (if applicable) by turning the key.

• To Unlock the Door:

  1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
  2. Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.
