This Apeer gearbox is designed for versatility and security, available in both 35mm and 45mm backsets. It features a latch and deadbolt mechanism and is unsprung, making it essential to pair with sprung door handles for optimal performance. The 45mm version utilizes a 35mm case with an extended latch and deadbolt, complemented by a 10mm packer piece for added functionality.

Equipped with a double spindle, this gearbox is not suitable for use with unsprung handles. The double spindle locks come with 62mm and 92mm centres, allowing for flexibility in installation. They can function as either a lift lever or a double spindle night latch, catering to various user preferences.

Dimensions and Specifications

• Gearbox Dimensions: 228mm high plus backset + 15mm
• Latch and Deadbolt Height: 30mm each
• Distance Between Latch and Deadbolt: 65mm
• Faceplate Fitting: Features three screw holes; the top to middle screw hole measures 109mm, and the middle to bottom also measures 109mm.

Earlier models included a small spindle hole at the top of the case, near the latch, which was used to hold the latch back.

Operation Instructions

To lock the door:

1. Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
2. Secure the locking points and main deadbolt (if applicable) by turning the key.

To unlock the door:

1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
2. Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.
