Lever Operated Latch & Deadbolt Gearbox

The KFV Lever Operated Latch & Deadbolt Gearbox is designed for versatility and ease of use, featuring a 35 mm or 45 mm backset and 92 mm centers. This single spindle unit combines both latch and deadbolt functions within a compact 210mm case height and a choice of 50mm or 60mm case width.

It's essential to be aware that early KFV multipoint locks had different rivet spacing and connectors for attaching the gearbox to the strip. While this won't pose a problem when replacing the entire lock, it is crucial to consider if you're only replacing the gearbox, as newer versions may not be compatible with older models. Fortunately, current KFV locks come with the gearbox securely attached to the faceplate using screws, simplifying the replacement process.

This gearbox is specifically designed for KFV lift lever mechanisms, ensuring reliable operation.

Handing
To reverse the latch, locate the screw on the side of the lockcase aligned with the latch. Remove the screw, push the latch out from the back, reverse it, and then reinsert the screw.

Operation

• Locking Method: Lift the lever to engage the locking mechanisms, then turn the cylinder one full turn to lock. To unlock, turn the key one full turn and push down on the lever.
