Product Overview: Maco Protect C-TS Multipoint Door Lock

The Maco C-TS multipoint door lock is designed for enhanced security and functionality, featuring a robust configuration of 2 hooks, 1 deadbolt, and 1 latch. This innovative locking system is a significant upgrade from the older G-TS range, introduced in 2012, and offers a versatile solution for modern door security needs.

Key Features:

  • Versatile Design: The C-TS locks come with a split spindle, allowing for both lift lever and split spindle functions. This adaptability makes it a single replacement option for the G-TS series, although installation may require adjustments due to differing locking point positions.
  • Distinctive Identification: Easily identifiable by the Maco logo on the faceplate and the unique shape of the locking gearboxes, the C-TS locks ensure authenticity and quality.
  • Faceplate Options: Available in traditional 16mm and 20mm faceplates, the C-TS also offers a "Top Hat" faceplate variant. This innovative design features a 16mm faceplate that fits into the euro groove, complemented by a 24mm top faceplate for a seamless finish.
  • Compact Size: Measuring 202mm high, the C-TS gearbox is one of the smaller options on the market, making it suitable for various door types without compromising on security.
  • Soft Latch Mechanism: The lock features a distinctive "soft" latch, which is split in half. Note that Maco provides different latch variants, so this feature alone may not definitively identify the lock.
  • Precise Measurements: The latch and deadbolt measure 30mm high, with a spacing of 55mm between them. Installation is straightforward, with three screws securing them to the faceplate.
  • Backset Consideration: When measuring the backset, account for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. For instance, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when detached from the strip.
  • Security Features: The C-TS locks offer two hook locking arrangements: a standard uni-directional hook and a higher security hook with an anti-lift pin. The latter provides enhanced protection against unauthorized access and requires specialized keeps.

Operation Instructions:

  • To Lock the Door:
    • Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
    • Secure the locking points and main deadbolt (if applicable) by turning the key.
  • To Unlock the Door:
    • Turn the key to unlock the system.
    • Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.

Durability: The Maco Protect C-TS locks are endurance tested to withstand up to 100,000 cycles, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability for your security needs.

For any replacements or further inquiries, we also stock locks for the Maco A-TS version, which features an automatic locking mechanism.

Measuring Guidelines:

Backset Measurement: To measure the backset, take a ruler and measure the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the lock cylinder. This measurement is crucial for ensuring the lock fits properly within the door frame.

Centres PZ Measurement: To measure the PZ (distance from the center of the keyhole to the center of the handle), use a tape measure to find the distance between these two points on the door. This ensures that the lock and handle align correctly for optimal operation.

Faceplate Measurement: To measure the faceplate, you should measure the width and height of the existing faceplate on the door. This will help you select the correct size from the drop-down options available, ensuring a perfect fit for your new lock system.
