Key Features:

  • Versatile Locking Points: The Lockmaster range includes multiple variants, allowing for customization to fit existing door setups. We stock the most popular versions and can source specific models as needed.
  • Easy Identification: Once removed from the door, Lockmaster locks can be easily identified by their unique features, such as the upwards throwing locks and a large gearbox measuring 228mm.
  • Best-Selling Lock: Lockmaster locks are the UK's top-selling multipoint door locks, now part of the Yale family, which includes brands like Millenco and Millenco Mantis.
  • Adaptability: Be aware that older versions may have different locking point locations, potentially requiring adjustments to the door routing.

Specifications:

  • Gearbox Options: Available in 35mm or 45mm backsets, with double or single spindle mechanisms. Bifold door versions come in 25mm and 28mm backsets.
  • Locking Mechanism: Double spindle locks feature unsprung designs, ideal for use with sprung door handles, while single spindles are sprung and limited to lift lever functions.
  • Dimensions: Gearboxes measure 228mm high plus backset +15mm. The latch and deadbolt both measure 30mm high, with a 65mm gap between them.
  • Screw Hole Measurements: Gearboxes are fitted with faceplates that have three screw holes, with the top to middle and middle to bottom holes both measuring 109mm apart.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Tested to BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 4 (240hrs. NSST), ensuring durability and reliability.

Measuring Guidelines

How to Measure the Backset: To measure the backset, take a tape measure and measure the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the lock cylinder. This measurement is crucial for ensuring that the lock fits properly within the door frame.

How to Measure the Centres (PZ): To measure the centres, measure the distance between the center of the keyhole and the center of the handle hole. This is typically done by placing the tape measure vertically along the door and marking the points where the holes are located.

How to Measure the Faceplate: To measure the faceplate, remove the existing lock and measure the width and height of the faceplate. Ensure to note the thickness as well, as this will affect the fit of the new lock.

What is the Operation: The operation refers to how the lock engages and disengages. This can vary based on the type of lock mechanism used, such as key-operated, thumb turn, or electronic access. Select the appropriate option from the drop-down based on your specific needs.
