• Identification Made Easy: While early models may lack a visible stamp on the faceplate, recent versions proudly display the KFV logo. To accurately identify your lock, it’s advisable to remove it from the door. Early models typically feature a yellow passivated faceplate and dark grey gearboxes, while newer models showcase shiny silver faceplates and light grey gearboxes.
• Modular Design: KFV locks have evolved to be modular, allowing for easier replacements without needing to change routing positions. However, when replacing older locks, adjustments to the keeps or repositioning of hook boxes may be necessary.
