Product Overview
Introducing the Mila gearbox, a reliable and genuine replacement option for your locking needs. Designed for easy installation, please note that the fixing points are not threaded, so self-tapping screws will be necessary. For optimal performance, use 4mm x 30mm screws to create the required threads (Part Number: M430CSK).
Configurations Available
Mila gearboxes come in two main configurations:
-
Latch Only:
- Always features a single spindle.
- Available backsets: 25mm, 28mm, 35mm, and 45mm.
-
Latch and Deadbolt:
- Available with both single and double spindle options.
- Single spindle (92mm PZ) backsets: 35mm and 45mm.
- Double spindle option available with a 35mm backset only, featuring a 70mm/92mm PZ measurement.
Choose the Mila gearbox that best fits your requirements for a secure and efficient locking solution.
To measure the backset, you need to determine the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the keyhole or the latch. Here's how to do it:
-
Position the Door: Ensure the door is in a closed position.
-
Locate the Keyhole or Latch: Identify where the keyhole or latch is positioned on the edge of the door.
-
Measure the Distance: Use a tape measure to measure from the edge of the door to the center of the keyhole or latch. This measurement is your backset.
To measure the centres (PZ), follow these steps:
-
Identify the Keyhole: Locate the keyhole on the door.
-
Measure from the Keyhole to the Latch: Measure the distance from the center of the keyhole to the center of the latch. This measurement is your PZ.
The operation of the Mila gearbox, specifically the lift lever, refers to how the locking mechanism is engaged. When you lift the lever, it activates the latch and/or deadbolt, allowing for secure locking and unlocking of the door. This operation is designed for ease of use, providing a smooth and reliable locking experience.
