The Yale Lockmaster Key Turn lock is designed with a key wind mechanism, allowing users to secure their doors with ease. The latch engages automatically upon closing, and the locking points can be activated or deactivated with a simple turn of the key.

Compatibility:

These locks are versatile, suitable for both timber and composite doors. They come in two styles:

• Classic: Main gearbox positioned centrally.
• Heritage: Main gearbox located at the height of a traditional timber door night latch.

Typically, these locks are paired with contemporary pull handles instead of traditional lever on plate multipoint lock handles.

Design and Specifications:

The Key Turn gearbox stands out with its unique design, featuring a corner removed for a sleek look. It is available in a 45mm backset only, and gearboxes are securely attached to faceplates with three screws, ensuring stability and reliability.

Installation Notes:

When measuring the backset, remember to account for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. For instance, a 28mm backset gearbox will measure 25mm when not affixed to the strip.

Lockmaster locks can be equipped with standard hooks or hooks featuring an anti-lift pin for added security. The hook cases measure 136mm in height and always throw upwards.

Operation:

• To Lock the Door:
  • Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
  • Turn the key to activate the locking points.
• To Unlock the Door:
  • Turn the key to "unwind" the locking points.
  • A further quarter turn retracts the latch.
