Key Operated Latch & Deadbolt Gearbox

The KFV Key Operated Latch & Deadbolt Gearbox is designed for versatility and ease of use, featuring a 35mm or 45mm backset and 92mm centres. This single spindle unit combines both latch and deadbolt functions within a compact 210mm case height and a choice of 50mm or 60mm case width.

It's important to note that early KFV multipoint locks had different rivet spacing and connectors for attaching the gearbox to the strip. While this won't affect a complete lock replacement, it is crucial to consider if you're only replacing the gearbox, as newer versions may not be compatible with older models. The latest KFV locks come with the gearbox securely fixed to the faceplate using screws, simplifying the replacement process.

This gearbox is specifically designed for KFV key wind mechanisms, ensuring reliable operation.

Handing
To reverse the latch, locate the screw on the side of the lockcase aligned with the latch. Simply pull out and reverse the latch, then reinsert the screw.

Operation

• Locking Method: C. Turn the key two full times to lock and again two full times to unlock. An additional turn will withdraw the latch.
