Compatibility

This gearbox is specifically designed for old-style Securistyle multipoint systems. Please note that it is unsprung and not suitable for use with unsprung handles.

Installation Notes

• Gearboxes are secured to faceplates with three screws and are not interchangeable with other Vevo locks.
• When measuring the backset, ensure to account for the faceplate thickness.

Operation Instructions

To Lock the Door:

1. Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
2. Lift the handle to engage additional locking points.
3. Throw the deadbolt and secure the system by turning the key.

To Unlock the Door:

1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
2. Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
3. A quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.

Latch Release Mechanism

If the latch is pushed in before installation, it may stick. To release the latch, use one of the following methods based on your lock version:

• Square Hold-back Spindle: Turn the spindle follower at the top of the gearbox.
• Hollow White Plastic Insert: Insert a screwdriver into the face of the lock and push down on the white plastic piece.
• No Hold-back Spindle: Insert a normal handle spindle through the lever follower, pull the lever down, then lift it fully up to release the latch.

Once installed, the latch will function normally unless manually pushed back into the lock case.

Important Note

This gearbox is similar in style to the Safeware case but has distinct measurements (Vevo case height is 228mm compared to Safeware's 255mm). Ensure compatibility before installation.
