Product Information

Introducing the Fullex genuine A gearbox, designed with a split spindle function and a 39mm backset, perfect for older versions of Fullex locks that feature wider faceplates.

This gearbox can be measured as 35/68, ensuring compatibility with your existing setup. Please note that cases B-G are now obsolete, and centre cases B, E, and G are no longer available.

Operation: Lift Lever or Split Spindle

Latch Reversal Instructions:

  1. Undo the screw in the latch to remove it.
  2. Reverse the latch and reinsert it.
  3. Replace the screw to secure it in place.

Upgrade your locking mechanism with the reliable Fullex A gearbox today!

Nightlatch Reversal: The lock is supplied as a lift lever function, it is fitted with a travel pin on the surround of the spindle hole. This must be broken in order to convert to a split spindle function.

To break the travel pin, simultaneously lift the outside handle up and the inside handle down; you should hear the crunching noise of the pin breaking.

The split spindle function is now activated, and with the spindles set into the correct position, the latch will now only open via the key from the outside and by the handle from the inside.

The follower of a Fullex lock is split into 3 parts. Using a Genuine Fullex Split Spindle (our part number SPLITSPIN), the longer spindle must go on the inside and should overlap 2 parts, while the shorter spindle is to be placed on the outside and should only engage with the first part.

To lock the door:

  1. On closing the door, the latch is automatically engaged.

  2. Lift the handle up to engage the additional locking points.

  3. Throw the deadbolt and lock the system by turning the key (on some brands, the deadbolt will be thrown by lifting the handle).

To unlock the door:

  1. Unlock the system by turning the key.

  2. Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points.

  3. A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
