Introducing the Ingenious gearboxes, designed with a unique double spindle arrangement featuring centers at 62mm and 92mm. Both followers are unsprung, so we recommend pairing them with sprung door furniture for optimal performance. Notably, the top corner of the gearbox is cut out for added functionality.

The overall height of the gearbox is 230mm, secured to the faceplate with three screw holes. The distance from the top screw hole to the middle screw hole is 110mm, while the distance from the middle to the bottom screw hole is 108mm.

Both the hook and the latch, which includes a screw, measure 30mm in height, with a distance of 75mm between them.

When measuring the backset, remember to allow for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. Therefore, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not fixed to the strip.

Ingenious multipoint door gearboxes come equipped with a small plastic snib on the faceplate. This feature allows you to hold the latch back for convenience, preventing accidental lockouts.

These gearboxes bear a resemblance to the Fullex XL series (also 230mm), so we recommend comparing the hook boxes against the pictures for confirmation, as they are distinct.

This specific gearbox features a 3mm backset and is designed for use with Ingenious Duplex locks in Alutech bifold doors.

To Lock the Door

1. Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
2. Secure the locking points and main deadbolt (if applicable) by turning the key.

To Unlock the Door

1. Unlock the system by turning the key.
2. Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.
