Introducing the Imperial 5 Lever Horizontal Mortice Sash Lock, designed for both internal and external wooden hinged doors, ensuring a high level of security. Proudly made in England, this lock is compatible with 38mm bolt-through furniture.

Included with the lock are fixing screws and a box strike, featuring 200 standard differs for added security.

These locks come with a distinctive black lock case and unique measurements that set them apart from other mortice locks. For detailed specifications, please refer to the line drawing provided.

The deadbolt extends 16mm and incorporates hardened steel rollers to resist sawing attacks. It can be locked and unlocked from either side using the key, while the latch is easily withdrawn by moving the handle from either side.

Each lock is supplied with a security striking box that matches the finish of the lock faceplate.

Compatibility and Customization

This lock is suitable for doors up to 54mm thick. The thickness of the door will determine the length of the keys. If you need this lock for a particularly thick door, we can provide extra-long keys upon request.

These locks are non-handed, making them versatile for doors that hinge on the left or right and open inwards or outwards.

Installation Tips

When replacing an existing lever mortice lock, be aware that the new lock may be larger due to enhanced security features or design changes. The lock hole can usually be enlarged with a hammer and chisel if necessary.

Ensure your door is thick enough to accommodate the mortice lock being fitted. The Master Locksmith Association recommends a minimum thickness of 44mm.
