The Copy Yale G2000 lock is known for its unique design, featuring a hook positioned above the latch. Since Yale has discontinued these locks, the most effective solution for maintaining security is to replace the gearbox. • Color Identification: If you're replacing a gearbox, it's likely that the original was yellow or gold, as the locks were initially made with yellow chromate. However, all replacement gearboxes, whether genuine or copies, are silver in color.

• Dimensions: The G2000 gearboxes measure 194mm in height and 52mm in width. The latch itself is 30mm high, with a distance of 55mm from the top of the latch to the bottom of the hook.

Locking Mechanism:

To lock the door:

1. Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
2. Lift the handle to engage the additional locking points.
3. Throw the deadbolt and secure the system by turning the key (note: on some brands, lifting the handle will throw the deadbolt).

To unlock the door:

1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
2. Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
3. A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.

Latch Reversal Instructions:

To reverse the latch, simply undo the screw in the latch to remove it. Reverse the latch, reinsert it, and replace the screw to complete the process.
