Its primary purpose is to effectively reduce gap sizes, ensuring compliance with current fire door regulations. Fire door inspectors are vigilant about gap sizes; any gaps exceeding 4mm between the frame and leaf will result in a ‘Non-Compliant’ status. Additionally, for the bottom of fire doors, gaps over 8mm for Fire Only Doors and over 3mm for Fire & Smoke Doors will also be flagged as ‘Non-Compliant.’

This bottom door seal carrier works seamlessly with the separately available LM (Low Modulus) gap-filling seal, providing a reliable solution for addressing gaps in non-compliant fire doors. When installed correctly, the FrameFit system meets the stringent requirements of BS 476 Part 22 and BS EN 1634-1, ensuring safety and compliance.
