The Kenrick Excalibur multipoint door lock is designed specifically for the passive door in a pair of French doors, ensuring both security and ease of use.

For accurate identification, we recommend removing the lock from the door, especially if the brand is not visible or if it has been rebranded.

Kenrick Excalibur gearboxes come in both single and double spindle configurations, with centers measuring either 92mm or 62mm. Both types are sprung, allowing for the use of either sprung or unsprung door handles.

The overall height of the gearbox is 225mm, secured to the faceplate with three screw holes. Additionally, there is a hole above the top spindle, 21mm from the top of the case, for bolt-through handle fixings. The top spindle is positioned 128mm from the bottom of the gearbox, aiding in the selection of compatible handles.

When measuring the backset, remember to account for 2-3mm for the faceplate. For instance, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not attached to the strip.

The Kenrick Excalibur multipoint door gearboxes feature a small plastic snib on the faceplate, which can be used to hold the latch back, preventing accidental lockouts.

While Kenrick Excalibur gearboxes may resemble those from the Fullex XL series and Ingenious, it's important to note that both of those options measure 230mm, making them 5mm larger than the Kenrick Excalibur.

Operation: Double Spindle

To lock the door:

1. Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
2. Lift the handle to engage the locking points.
3. Turn the key to lock the system.

To unlock the door:

1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
2. Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
3. A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
