Introducing the Kenrick Excalibur Passive Gearbox, designed specifically for French doors and featuring a sprung spindle for enhanced functionality.

The Kenrick Excalibur gearboxes come in both single and double spindle (follower) configurations, with center measurements of either 92mm or 62mm and 92mm. Both spindle options are sprung, allowing for the flexibility of using either sprung or unsprung door handles.

Key Features:

• Overall Height: 225mm, secured to the faceplate with three screw holes.

• Bolt-Through Handle Fixings: A hole located 21mm from the top of the case above the top spindle facilitates bolt-through handle installations. The top spindle measures 128mm from the bottom of the gearbox, aiding in the selection of compatible handles.

• Backset Measurement: When measuring the backset, remember to account for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. For instance, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not attached to the strip.

• Convenient Snib Feature: The multipoint door gearboxes include a small plastic snib on the faceplate, which can hold the latch back for convenience and help prevent accidental lock-outs.

• Compatibility: While the Kenrick Excalibur gearboxes share similarities with the Fullex XL series and Ingenious gearboxes, it’s important to note that both Ingenious and Fullex XL multipoint gearboxes measure 230mm, making them 5mm larger than the Kenrick Excalibur.
