Product Overview: Kenrick Excalibur Gearboxes

Kenrick Excalibur gearboxes are designed for versatility and ease of installation, available in two backset sizes: 35mm and 45mm. You can choose between a single or double spindle (follower) gearbox, with center options at either 92mm or 62mm and 92mm. Both followers are sprung, allowing for the use of either sprung or unsprung door handles.

Specifications:

• Overall Height: 225mm
• Mounting: Fixed to the faceplate with 3 screw holes
• Top Spindle Position: 128mm from the bottom of the gearbox
• Bolt-Through Handle Fixing: 21mm hole above the top spindle

When measuring the backset, remember to account for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. For instance, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure approximately 32mm when not fixed to the strip.

• Convenient Snib: The multipoint door gearboxes include a small plastic snib on the faceplate, which holds the latch back for convenience and helps prevent accidental lockouts.

• Compatibility: While Kenrick Excalibur gearboxes share similarities with the Fullex XL series and Ingenious gearboxes, it's important to note that both Ingenious and Fullex XL models measure 230mm, making them 5mm larger than the Kenrick Excalibur.

Operation:

To operate, simply lift the lever or use the double spindle. For latch reversal, undo the screw in the latch to remove it, reverse the latch, reinsert, and replace the screw.
