Fixed directly to the surface, on the inside of the door, these locks are a popular option particularly in Victorian style domestic properties.

This TSS Double Handed Rim Sash Lock for gates or internal doors is supplied with 2 keys, a receiver plate, and 6 fixing screws. This lock is double handed, meaning it can be fitted either way up, making it suitable for use on left and right-handed doors. Its traditional Victorian design case is finished in durable satin black with electroplated brass appointments. The keys supplied are of extended length to pass through from the external side of the door.
