Please remember that testing the gearbox before installation may lead to improper operation until it is securely attached to the faceplate and connecting rods. For installation, self-tapping screws are essential (Part Number: M430CSK).

Installation Details

• Fixing Points: Not threaded; requires M4 x 10mm self-tapping screws.

Configurations Available

Mila gearboxes come in two configurations:

• Latch-Only:

  • Single spindle
  • Backsets: 25mm, 28mm, 35mm, and 45mm

• Latch and Deadbolt:

  • Single spindle (92mm PZ) available in 35mm and 45mm backsets
  • Double spindle available with a 35mm backset only
  • Double spindle lock features a 70mm/92mm PZ measurement

Dimensions

Despite the variety of backsets and configurations, Mila gearboxes maintain consistent dimensions:

• Overall Size: 233mm high + backset, 20mm wide
• Latch Size: 20mm high
• Deadbolt Size: 30mm high
• Distance Between Latch and Deadbolt: 80mm

Important Considerations

Be aware that some older locks may have an offset or cranked connector. This is particularly relevant when replacing a gearbox instead of a full-length lock. Replacement gearboxes are now only available with inline connectors, which are compatible with older locks. However, you will need to adapt the drive gear behind the faceplate. Refer to our technical guide for detailed instructions, including cutting a square hole in the drive gear to create a necessary slot for proper lock functionality.
