Upgrade your locking system with the Mila copy gearbox, designed to convert single spindle versions to double spindle configurations. Please note that the fixing points are not threaded, so self-tapping screws will be necessary for installation.

Configurations Available:

• Latch-Only Versions:

  • Single spindle only
  • Backsets: 25mm, 28mm, 35mm, and 45mm

• Latch and Deadbolt Versions:

  • Single spindle (92mm PZ)
  • Backsets: 35mm and 45mm
  • Double spindles available with a 35mm backset only
  • Double spindle lock features a 70mm/92mm PZ measurement

Despite the variety of backsets and operational options, the dimensions of Mila gearboxes remain consistent:

• Distance between latch and deadbolt: 80mm

Important Considerations:

Be aware that some older locks may have an offset or cranked connector. This is particularly relevant when replacing a gearbox rather than a full-length lock. Current replacement gearboxes are equipped with inline connectors, which are compatible with older locks. However, you will need to adapt the drive gear behind the faceplate. Operating Instructions:

To Lock the Door:

1. On closing the door, the latch is automatically engaged.

2. Lift the handle up to engage the additional locking points.

3. Throw the deadbolt and lock the system by turning the key (on some brands, the deadbolt will be thrown by lifting the handle).

To Unlock the Door:

1. Unlock the system by turning the key.

2. Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points.

3. A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
