BRITON 5740 DIN Standard Fire Rated Latch Case 60mm Backset

The Briton 5740 DIN Standard Latch Case is an excellent choice for doors that utilize lever furniture without the need for a locking mechanism. With a 60mm backset and 72mm centres, this latch case is tailored for both commercial and architectural applications.

Its quick reversible latch simplifies installation for both left and right-handed doors, while the bolt-through fixing holes conforming to DIN 18251 ensure a secure fit with compatible door furniture. Crafted from galvanised steel and finished with satin nickel plating, it offers impressive corrosion resistance. Additionally, the latch case is available with a grade 316 stainless steel single piece round or square forend, enhancing durability.

This product has undergone fire testing to EN 1634-1 standards, making it suitable for FD30 and FD60 fire doors. To maintain the fire rating, it is essential to use the appropriate intumescent pack, and a suitable door closer must be installed if fitted to a fire door.
