The Briton 5440 DIN Mortice Latch is an ideal choice for doors equipped with lever furniture, where a locking mechanism is not necessary. This latch bolt is easily operated by the handle, making it perfect for commercial and architectural applications that require a straightforward and dependable latch case.

With a 60mm backset and a 72mm center, the Briton 5440 is designed for easy specification and installation on both left and right-handed doors. It boasts a grade 304 stainless steel single-piece forend, available in both round and square options. The lockcase is CE and UKCA marked to EN 12209, Certifire approved, and fire tested to EN 1634. These latches are suitable for FD30 and FD60 fire doors. To maintain the fire rating, it is essential to fit these digital locks with the appropriate intumescent pack. Additionally, if installed on a fire door, a compatible door closer must also be used.
