The FUHR 856 Type 1 Lever Operated Latch & Deadbolt - 4 Roller is a versatile locking solution designed for enhanced security and ease of use. Available in various backset sizes (25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 45mm, or 55mm), it features a robust design with a 92mm centre distance, a case height of 200mm, and multiple case width options (40mm, 45mm, 50mm, 60mm, or 70mm).

This latch and deadbolt system is equipped with a single spindle and a centre case that ensures reliable operation. For optimal performance, if the ball bearing, screw, and spring from your existing unit are not retained, these components must be purchased separately (refer to Associated Products). The internal sliding strip is ingeniously designed with a small notch that allows the spring-loaded ball bearing to engage, providing a secure and defined locking action when the handle is operated.

Handing Instructions

To reverse the latch, locate the Allen screw on the side of the lockcase, aligned with the latch. Remove the screw, reverse the latch, and then reinsert the Allen screw.

Sprung/Unsprung Mechanism

The gearbox is sprung, featuring an internal spring mechanism that aids in lever return, eliminating the need for sprung handles or a separate spring cassette.

Operation Instructions

• Locking Method: Lift the lever to engage the locking mechanisms, then turn the key one full turn to lock.
• Unlocking Method: Turn the key one full turn, then push down on the lever to disengage the locking mechanisms.
