The Mila copy gearbox is designed for optimal functionality and compatibility. This specific model features a latch-only configuration with a single 8mm spindle. It's crucial to verify the location of your connectors, as an alternative version is available under part number MILALATCH4500. For installation, self-tapping screws (Part Number: M430CSK) are required.

• Compatibility: The Mila 4500 copy gearbox has distinct fixings compared to the standard MILACASE35LATCH. It includes a bracket with "4500" cast into the face, and the connectors are positioned differently than the standard lock version.

• Screw Specifications: Use M4 x 10mm self-tapping machine screws for this lock, as the screw holes are unthreaded.

• Configurations Available: Mila gearboxes come in both latch-only and latch and deadbolt configurations. The latch-only versions are single spindle and available in backsets of 25mm, 28mm, 35mm, and 45mm. The latch and deadbolt versions with a single spindle (92mm PZ) are available in 35mm and 45mm backsets, while double spindles are offered with a 35mm backset only. The double spindle lock features a 70mm/92mm PZ measurement.

Despite the variety of backsets and operational options, the dimensions of Mila gearboxes remain consistent. They measure:

Important Considerations:

Be aware that some older locks may have an offset or cranked connector. This is particularly relevant when replacing a gearbox rather than a full-length lock. Replacement gearboxes are now only available with inline connectors, which are compatible with older locks. However, you will need to adapt the drive gear behind the faceplate.
