- Shear Pin Mechanism: The lever variant is attached to the body by a shear pin, which breaks under severe abuse to protect the mechanism; the shear pin can be easily replaced
- Fixings: Supplied with fixings suitable for timber or metal doors

Operation
- Locked State: When locked, the lever disengages from the mechanism but still pulls down, preventing unauthorized entry.
- Unlocked State: When unlocked, the lever, spindle, and mechanism engage, allowing the shoot bolts, latch, or pullman latches to be withdrawn from outside the door.
- Lever Locking: Once the door is opened from either side, the lever remains unlocked until re-locked with a key. Note: The unit is NOT self-locking.
